The system combines your choice of either an HDPE or Aluminum Manhole Insert with a Carbon Pillow — delivering a proven, reliable solution for sewer manholes and restaurant grease interceptors alike.
How does
The Manhole Scrubber work?
▣ As hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other mercaptans rise through the sewer system, they pass upward through the high-capacity activated carbon contained in the Carbon Pillow seated inside the Manhole Insert. The gas molecules adhere to the carbon surface and are absorbed through a process called adsorption. As the H2S and other odor-causing molecules bond with the carbon, they are effectively and permanently neutralized — eliminating foul odors at the source rather than simply masking them.
